Healing. Together.
Hi! I am Dana Young (LMFT #129327). I work with my clients to help them better understand themselves, to understand why they feel the way they do, how to deal with it, heal from it, and overcome it. I use an integrated approach, including EMDR, to help my clients navigate and heal from trauma and past pains (including PTSD), OCD, Anxiety (generalized anxiety, panic attacks, social anxiety, and health anxiety), intrusive thoughts and fears, emotional regulation difficulties, chaotic and challenging relationships, codependency and boundary issues, and grief and loss. Life’s bumps and bruises happen to everyone, and you may find yourself consumed, overwhelmed, unhappy and unable to feel the way you once did. Maybe it’s fear, maybe it’s overreacting, maybe it’s worry, or you may be at your wit’s end, or something else altogether, that is keeping you suffering and not living the life you want to live. The way I view therapy both personally and professionally is when this happens, you come to therapy to work through what is going on so that you can go back into the world, living the life you want to live and feeling the way you want to feel. And if at some point things come up that get in your way of this, maybe months, maybe years later, you then come back to therapy so you can get back to where you want to be. I take a focused approach with my clients so that, together, we can get you back in the world, living and feeling how you want to. I recognize that it can be difficult to focus on what can be causing so much pain or suffering, that is why I am continuously assessing my clients and only process at the speed they are comfortable with. I feel unbelievably honored that my clients allow me in their lives, and that I can assist them in their healing. I look forward to beginning our journey together.
